Hidden Behind the Movement

Here comes another photo from the workshop I mentioned in my previous post. It is again a natural light photo shot at a slow shutter speed. The image stabilization of my lens helped to keep the model in focus while blurring the net. I shot a few more pictures of this setup but this one I liked most. It is sharp and with a nice shape of the net. Enjoy. Camera spec: Canon 5d mark iii with Canon 70-200 L2.8 IS II at 70mm, F4.5 @ 1/40, ISO 250.

Net Beauty

I have recently participated in a workshop on nude photography and would like to show you one of the photos I took during the workshop. There is not really that much nudity on this particular photo but I really like the expression of the model and her look. Window light was used to create this photo and I on purpose changed the composition so that her face is leading the eyes out of the frame, creating a nice dynamic tension. Alone with You

I have just finished editing the last wedding of the season and would like to post a nice photo of this pretty couple in the Kilde park in Aalborg downtown. This was taken at the very end of the photo session  and I asked the couple to look at each other and forget I was there.  This resulted in something I quite liked. I used only the available light. Look at Me

Here is another image from the last Saturday where I asked the couple to slowly return to the car we arrived with while the groom is holding her dress and she is looking back at him. I like to connection between the couple and the brides expression. Enjoy. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark iii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 123mm, F3.5 @ 1/400, ISO 100.

A Dance on a Cliff

Today I am posting a picture taken yesterday at a wedding shoot in North Jutland with a beautiful couple daring to dance on a cliff near the MÃ¥rup Church. In the background you can see the edge of the cliff falling into the ocean and forming a pleasing diagonal, ending with the Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse. The picture was taken at the end of the shoot when I asked the couple just to relax and dance little bit, signaling that the shoot is over. Then they suddenly kissed and I clicked at the right moment, capturing great emotions. Camera spec: Canon 5d mark iii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 135mm, F4.5 @ 1/500, ISO 200.

Gentle Touch

Today's image is one of my favorite ones. I think the composition is interesting but what sells the image for me is the nice gentle pose of the bride and the connection between the couple. Enjoy. Camera spec: Canon 5d mark ii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 145mm, F5 @ 1/250, ISO 160.

A Kiss of Love

Here comes a photo from one of my favorite weddings where I was lucky to photography this beautiful couple. This image was taken in the natural light only and it is a simple, moment capturing photograph with a nice contrast between the green and blue with the kissing couple positioned in the golden cut. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark ii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 200mm, F4.5 @ 1/500, ISO 100.

Under the Blue Sky

Here is another wedding couple kissing under the blue sky. I like the image because of the little bit provoking composition where the couple and the bridge are placed far beyond the lower third of the frame with lots of negative blue space at the top. The eye is quickly attracted to the bridge and the couple due to the light contrast of the white wood and thanks to the multiple leading lines pointing towards the bridge. Camera spec: Canon 5d mark ii with Canon 24-105 4L IS at 24mm, F11 @ 1/250, ISO 100.

Autumn Love

This is another of my favorite shots of a wedding couple during the autumn period. What I like about the photo is the composition where I got very low to the ground, placed the couple into the golden cut and made sure they are nicely framed with the trees at the background with the leading lines of the path. I used natural light only and it was getting quite dark but my camera could handle this without much trouble. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark ii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 70mm, F2.8 @ 1/100, ISO 1600.

Colored Harmony

Let me now return to some of the weddings I photographed recently.  Today's image is one of my favorites portraits of this young couple. The posing is easy and relaxed, photographed in natural light only with nice background full of beautiful colors and the colored leaves nicely framing the couple. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark ii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 150mm, F5.6 @ 1/200, ISO 320.

Black and White Colors

Let me finish the photos from the workshop of black and white photography with this image that simply works best for me in color ;-) It was shot again in a direct sun light passing through a metal mesh but executed in a different way than the previous one. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark iii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 142mm, F2.8 @ 1/200, ISO 160.

Harsh Light

Today I am posting another image from the workshop of black and white photography. One of the reasons why I enjoy photographic workshops is that I can experiment with pictures I would normally not take on, for example, a wedding day. Here, in the limited time, there is only very little space to make experiments after all the compulsory shots are taken. The workshop allowed by to take a series of pictures in the direct sunlight through a metal mesh in a nearby tram station. I was pleased with the results and hope you will enjoy today's photo too. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark iii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 135mm, F3.5 @ 1/1000, ISO 100.

A Tram Tunnel

Here comes another photo from the workshop of black and white photography mentioned in my previous post. We moved down to the tram station where a nice directional light was coming from one end of the tunnel. I asked the model to look towards the light and pressed the shutter button, resulting in this pleasant portrait of our beautiful model. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark iii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 120mm, F2.8 @ 1/200, ISO 800.

Black and White Beauty

It has been more than a year ago I posted my last photo. The reason was that I was simply too busy with photographic assignments and didn't really find the time to blog about my pictures. In the meantime I gathered bunch of nice photos that I would like to share. Today I start with the first photo that I took recently at the workshop of black and white photography in Brno. I enjoyed the way the workshop was run and today's image is one of my favorites. It was photographed in a natural light in a small tunnel close to a local supermarket. After setting my camera to a correct exposure, I was together with my model exploring different poses until I ended up with something interesting and dynamic. Hope you will enjoy today's photo and stay tuned for more to come! Camera spec: Canon 5D mark iii with Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II at 100mm, F3.2 @ 1/250, ISO 400.
