Here is another photo I took during the recent pregnancy session. I wanted to cast a shadow on the wall in the background to emphasize the shape of the belly. I placed the 580EX II speedlite with a homemade grid to the camera right and by carefully changing the distance and the angle I achieved the desired effect. Camera spec: Canon 5D mark ii with Canon 24-105 4L at 70mm, F8 @ 1/125, ISO 400.

This is very nice. I have not thought about doing this while I was pregnant. You have a great concept of the shadow. Did you do take this photo alone? With your camera and the pose you did, it is picture perfect!

I often do the same thing as you with my kids. I and my kids always play with the shadows on the wall when there is spare time. We often make movements like a bird or elephant shadow on the wall. And it was very fun.
Your shadow concept is very nice. I actually find it unique since it's not the typical shadow making or photo shoot concept.
